An electronic hotel invoice is a tax document that is issued and received in electronic format, with the same legal effects as a paper invoice and serves as proof of the delivery of goods or services. Currently, the issuance of the electronic invoice is conditional on the consent of its recipient. However, and according to the Create and Grow Law approved in autumn 2022, the obligation to issue (and receive) electronic invoices will be a reality in the coming years in Spain.
